ἐπιστομίζω; (στόμα); properly, to bridle or stop up the mouth; metaphorically, to stop the mouth, reduce to silence: Titus 1:11. (Plato, Gorgias, p. 482 e.; Demosthenes 85, 4; often in Plutarch, and Lucian.)
