1 Chronicles 27:17
over Levi was Hashabiah son of Kemuel; over Aaron was Zadok;
over Levi was Hashabiah son of Kemuel;

Hashabiah (“Yahweh has considered”) served as the chief representative over the Levites in David’s administrative organization. The Levites were appointed by God to guard, transport, and serve at the sanctuary, supporting the sons of Aaron in Israel’s worship. Their calling testified that access to God required holiness, order, and faithful obedience. Hashabiah’s leadership helped ensure that the tribe set apart for sacred service fulfilled its responsibilities throughout the nation.

over Aaron was Zadok;

Zadok, whose name means “righteous,” stood over the Aaronic priesthood, the family descended from Aaron and authorized to offer sacrifices before the Lord. He had remained loyal to David during national crises and later anointed Solomon as king. His priestly line through Eleazar fulfilled God’s judgment against Eli’s compromised household and established the priesthood that would serve at Solomon’s temple. Zadok’s faithful service points to the need for righteous mediators before God and ultimately anticipates Jesus Christ, the sinless and eternal High Priest.

Chronicles
The comparative indifference with which Chronicles is regarded in modern times by all but professional scholars seems to have been shared by the ancient Jewish church.
