1. Race pride — pride in ancestors.

2. Face pride — pride in outward appearance.

3. Place pride — pride in social position.

4. Grace pride — pride in godliness.

II. THE WARNING. Be not proud —

1. Because we have nothing to be proud of.

2. Because it is abhorrent to God.

3. Because it is unlike Christ.

4. Because it is ruinous.Apply —

(1)  Some are very proud.

(2)  Some occasionally.

(3)  Some are bravely struggling against pride.
