A Psalm of the period of the Babylonian captivity (c.539 BC). 1May God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause His face to shine upon us, Selah, 2So that Your ways may be known throughout the earth, Your saving health among all the nations. 3May the people praise You, O God; let all the people praise You. 4Oh, let the nations be glad and sing for joy; for You shall judge the people righteously, and govern the nations of the earth. Selah. 5 May the people praise You, O God; let all the people praise You. 6Then shall the earth yield its harvest; and God, our own God, shall bless us. 7May God bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.
