1 The one sitting in the secret place of the Most High, in the shade of Shaddai he will abide. 2 I will say of YHWH: “My refuge and my stronghold, My God, I trust in Him!” 3 Surely He will snatch you from the snare of the trapper, from the plague of calamity. 4 With His pinions He will give cover for you, and under His wings you will take refuge; a shield and buckler is His faithfulness. 5 You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, or of the arrow that flies by day, 6 from the plague that walks in the darkness, or from the pestilence that destroys at noon. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, and a multitude at your right hand—it shall not draw near to you.
