2 lest they tear my soul like a lion, tearing apart, and there is no one snatching me up. 3 O YHWH my God, if I have done this, if there is injustice in my palms, 4 if I have dealt with the one at peace with me with evil, or have drawn out my enemy without cause, 5 may the enemy pursue my soul and overtake it, and let him trample my life to the ground, and let him set down my honor in the dust. Selah 6 arise, O YHWH, in Your anger; lift up against the fury of my adversaries, and rouse Yourself for me; You have appointed a judgment. 7 And let the congregation of peoples surround You; and over it return in the heights. 8 YHWH shall judge the peoples; Judge me, O YHWH, according to my righteousness, and according to my integrity within me. 9 Please, let the evil of the wicked cease, and may you establish the righteous—even the One testing hearts and kidneys, O Righteous God. 10 My shield is on God, the One saving the upright of heart. 11 God is a righteous judge, and a God expressing wrath on every day. 12 If one shall not turn back, then He sharpens His sword; He has bent His bow and prepared it. 13 And for Himself He has prepared instruments of death; His arrows He makes into fiery shafts. 14 Behold, he travails with evil, and he conceives trouble, and brings forth falsehood. 15 He has dug a pit and hollowed it out, and he has fallen into a pit he has made. 16 His trouble shall return upon his head, and on the top of his head, his violence shall come down. 17 I will confess YHWH according to His righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of YHWH-Elyon.
