keep me, O YHWH, from the hands of the wicked, from the man of violence guard me—those who have devised to push down my steps.

The prideful ones have hidden a snare for me, and ropes they have spread as a net by the side of the path; lures they have set for me. Selah

I said, “O YHWH, You are my God;” give ear to, O YHWH, the voice of my supplications!

YHWH my Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head on the day of armor.

Do not grant, O YHWH, the desires of the wicked; do not promote his wicked device; lest they be exalted! Selah

the poison of those surrounding me, the trouble of their lips, let it cover them!

Let burning coals fall upon them; let them be cast into the fire, into deep pits, never to rise up again!

A man of tongues, do not let him be established in the earth; a man of violence, may evil hunt him to overflowing!

I know that YHWH upholds justice for the poor, and judgment for the needy.

Indeed, the righteous will give praise to Your name; the upright will dwell with Your face.
