Psalms 132:1-9 ▼

A Song of the Ascents. O YHWH, Remember for David, all his afflictions,

how he swore to YHWH and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:

“If I enter into the tent of my house, or if go up on the couch of my bed,

I will not give sleep to my eyes, and slumber to my eyelids,

until I find a place for YHWH, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

Behold, we have heard of it in Ephrathah, we have found it in the fields of Jaar.

Let us go into His dwelling place; let us worship at the stool of His feet!

Arise, O YHWH, to Your resting place—You and the ark of Your strength!

May Your priests be clothed with righteousness, and Your holy ones shout for joy!
