14 I am not able to bear all this people alone, because the burden is too heavy for me. 15 And if thou deal thus with me, kill me right away, if I have found favor in thy sight; and let me not see my wretchedness. 16 And the LORD said to Moses, Gather to me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be chiefs of the people and its scribes; and bring them to the tabernacle of the congregation, that they may be ready there with you. 17 And I will come down and talk with you there; and I will take some of the spirit which is upon you, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you may not bear it yourself alone.
