1 Now after the Sabbaths, it being dawn toward the first of the Sabbaths, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. 2 And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord, having descended out of heaven and having come, rolled away the stone and was sitting upon it. 3 And his appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. 4 And those keeping guard trembled from fear of him, and they became like dead men.
