32 Then Jesus called his disciples to him, and said: I have compassion on the multitude, because they have been with me now three days, and have nothing to eat. And I am not willing to send them away fasting, lest they faint on the road. 33 And his disciples said to him: Whence should we have in the desert as many loaves as would satisfy so great a multitude? 34 And Jesus said to them: How many loaves have you? They said: Seven, and a few little fishes. 35 And he commanded the multitude to recline on the ground. 36 And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and broke, and gave thorn to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the multitude. 37 And they all ate and were satisfied; and they took up what remained of the broken pieces, seven baskets full. 38 And those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children. 39 And he sent the multitudes away, and entered the ship, and went into the borders of Magdala.
