12 After the exile to Babylon (confusion by mixing): Jeconiah (YHWH will establish) was the father of Shealtiel (I have asked of God), Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel (sown in Babylon), 13 Zerubbabel (sown in Babylon) the father of Abiud (my father is majesty), Abiud the father of Eliakim (God raises), and Eliakim the father of Azor. 14 Azor was the father of Zadok (righteous), Zadok the father of Achim (he will establish), and Achim the father of Eliud (God is grandeur). 15 Eliud (God is grandeur) was the father of Eleazar (God has helped), Eleazar the father of Matthan, Matthan the father of Jacob (he grasps the heel), 16 and Jacob (he grasps the heel) the father of Joseph (he will add), the husband of Mary (beloved), of whom was born Jesus (YHWH saves), who is called Christ (the Anointed One).
