And it came to pass about eight days after these words, and having taken with Him Peter and John and James, that He went up onto the mountain to pray.

And it came to pass in His praying that the appearance of His face was different and His clothing white, flashing forth.

And behold, two men were talking with Him, who were Moses and Elijah,

who, having appeared in glory, were speaking of His departure, which He was about to fulfill in Jerusalem.

And Peter and those with him were heavy with sleep; and having awoken fully, they saw His glory and the two men standing with Him.

And it came to pass in their departing from Him that Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tabernacles—one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah,” not knowing what he is saying.

And in his saying these things, there was a cloud, and it was overshadowing them; and they feared in their entering into the cloud.

And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My Son, whom I have chosen; listen to Him!”

And on the voice having come, Jesus was found alone. And they were silent, and they reported to no one in those days anything of what they have seen.
