1 Now the feast of unleaven'd bread, which is call'd the passover, 2 being nigh, the chief priests consulted with the Scribes, how they might put Jesus to death; for they were afraid of the people. 3 now satan had inspired Judas surnam'd Iscariot, one of the twelve, what to do. 4 accordingly he went and conferr'd with the chief priests and officers of the temple, about the method of seizing him. 5 they were pleas'd with his proposal, and agreed to give him a certain sum.
