1 NOW the feast of unleavened bread, which is called the passover, was at hand. 2 And the high priests and the scribes sought how to kill him; but they were afraid of the people. 3 But Satan had taken possession of Judas who is called of Iscariot, who was of the number of the twelve. 4 So he went away, and spoke with the high priests and the scribes and officers of the temple, about delivering him to them. 5 And they were glad and promised to give him money.
