16 And he spoke a parable to them, saying: The farm of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully.

17 And he reasoned within himself, saying: What shall I do? for I have no place in which I can store my fruits.

18 And he said: This will I do: I will pull down my barns and I will build larger ones; and there I will store all my produce, and my good things;

19 and I will say to my soul: Soul, you have many good things laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, be merry.

20 But God said to him: Senseless man, this night shall your soul be required of you; and who shall have the things which you have provided?

21 So is he that lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
