39 But on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the produce of the land, you shall celebrate a feast to the LORD for seven days; on the first day shall be suspension of labor, and on the eighth day shall be a solemn rest. 40 And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruits of goodly trees, citron, branches of palm trees, myrtle, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days, all the people of the house of Israel. 41 And you shall keep this feast to the LORD seven days in the year. It is a statute for ever throughout your generations; you shall celebrate it in the seventh month. 42 You shall dwell in huts seven days; all the house of Israel shall dwell in huts, 43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in huts when I brought them out of the land of Egypt; I am the LORD your God. 44 And Moses declared to the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD.
