12 Upon thus I said to the sons of Israel, ‘Not any soul among you? shall eat blood, and the sojourner who is sojourning in your? midst shall not eat blood.’ 13 And any man, from the sons of Israel and from the sojourner who is sojourning in your? midst, who hunts living game or bird that may be eaten, then he shall pour out its blood, and he shall cover it with dust. 14 For the soul of all flesh is its blood; in its soul it is. And I said to the sons of Israel, ‘Blood of any flesh you? shall not eat, for the soul of all flesh is its blood; all who eat it shall be cut off.’ 15 And any soul who eats a carcass or torn thing, among the native and among the sojourner, he shall both wash his clothes, and he shall bathe in the water, and he shall be unclean until the evening; then he shall be clean. 16 And if he does not wash them and does not bathe his flesh, then he shall bear his iniquity.” Leviticus 17:12-16, Berean Literal Bible.
