Judges 10:1-7 ▼

1 And there arose after Abimelech to save Israel Tola son of Puah, son of Dodo, a man of Issachar. And he dwelt in Shamir in the hill country of Ephraim.

2 And He judged Israel twenty-three years, and he died, and he was buried in Shamir.

3 And arose after him Jair the Gileadite, and he judged Israel twenty-two years.

4 And there were unto him thirty sons who rode on thirty donkeys, and thirty towns unto him, which are called Havvoth-jair to this day, which are in the land of Gilead.

5 And Jair died, and he was buried in Kamon.

6 And the sons of Israel added to do evil in the eyes of YHWH, and they served the Baals, and the Ashtoreths, and the gods of Aram, and the gods of Sidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the sons of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and they forsook YHWH and did not serve Him.

7 And the anger of YHWH was hot against Israel, and He sold them into the hands of the Philistines and into the hands of the sons of Ammon.
