6 And you? shall write down the land in seven portions and bring it to me here, that I may cast for you? lots here before the face of YHWH our God. 7 But no portion is for the Levites in your? midst, for the priesthood of YHWH is their inheritance. And Gad and Reuben and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of YHWH gave them.” 8 And the men arose and went, and Joshua commanded those who went to write down the land, saying, “Go and walk up and down in the land, and describe it, and return to me, and here I will cast for you? lots before the face of YHWH in Shiloh.” 9 And the men went and passed through the land, and they wrote it down by the cities in seven parts in a book, and they came to Joshua at the camp in Shiloh. 10 And Joshua cast for them lots in Shiloh before the face of YHWH, and there Joshua divided the land to the sons of Israel according to their divisions.
