9 And his wife said to him, “Are you still holding firmly onto your integrity? Curse God and die!” 10 And he said to her, “You speak like the speaking of one of the foolish women! Shall we receive the good from God, and not also receive the bad?” In all this, Job did not sin with his lips. 11 And three friends of Job heard of all this evil that had come upon him, and they came, each man from his place—Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite—and they met together to come to nod to him and to comfort him. 12 And they lifted their eyes from afar, and they did not recognize him. And they lifted their voices and wept, and each man tore his robe, and they scattered dust upon their heads toward the heavens. 13 Then they sat down with him on the ground seven days and seven nights, and there was no speaking to him a word, for they saw that his pain was very great.
