1 BEL has fallen down, Nebo is overthrown; their idols were loaded as burdens upon beasts, yea, upon weary beasts and cattle. 2 They were overthrown, they have fallen down together; they could not rescue those who carried them, but they themselves are gone into captivity. 3 Hearken to me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, even those who are borne in the belly and who still are carried in the womb: 4 Even to your old age I am he; and even to gray hairs I will endure.
