4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, that is, the men of Sodom, surrounded the house, both young and old, all the people of the town; 5 And they called to Lot and said to him, Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them. 6 And Lot went out at the door to them; and he shut the door after him. 7 And Lot said to them, I pray you, my brethren, do not so wickedly. 8 Behold now, I have two daughters who have, not known man; let me bring them out to you, and do to them whatever you please; only to these men do nothing; for they have come under the protection of my roof.
