27 And Abraham answered and said, “Behold, please, I have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord, and I am dust and ash. 28 Suppose there are lacking five of the fifty righteous? Would You destroy for the five the whole city?” And He said, “I will not destroy it if I find there forty and five.” 29 And he added again to speak to Him, and he said, “Suppose there should be found there forty?” And He said, “I will not do it on account of the forty.” 30 And he said, “Please, may the Lord not be hot, and I will speak. Suppose there should be found thirty.” And He said, “I will not do it if I find there thirty.” Genesis 18:27-30, Berean Literal Bible. Public domain.
