13 So Hagar gave this name to the LORD {YHWH} who had spoken to her: “You are the God who sees me {El-Roi}, for she said, “Here I have seen the One who sees me!” 14 Therefore the well was called Beer-lahai-roi (well of the Living One who sees me). It is located between Kadesh (holy) and Bered (hail). 15 And Hagar (flight) bore Abram (exalted father) a son, and Abram gave the name Ishmael (God hears) to the son she had borne. 16 Abram (exalted father) was eighty-six years old when Hagar (flight) bore Ishmael (God hears) to him.
