25 And you, Ezra, according to your wisdom which your God has given you, appoint governors and judges, who may judge all the people that are beyond the River, all such as know the law of your God; and him who does not know it, you shall teach. 26 And whosoever will not do the law of your God and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be to death or to banishment or to confiscation of goods or to imprisonment. 27 Blessed art thou, O LORD God of our fathers, for thou hast put this thing in the king's heart, to beautify the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem; 28 And hast extended mercy to me before the king and before the king's mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my God was upon me, and I chose out of Israel leading men to go up with me. Ezra 7:25-28, Lamsa Bible. Public domain.
