12 “Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, and say to him, thus says the Lord YHWH: ‘You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty! 13 You were in Eden, the garden of God, with every precious stone your covering—ruby, topaz, and diamond; beryl, onyx, and jasper; sapphire, turquoise, and emerald; and of gold was the workmanship of your timbrels and pipes, established for you on the day of your creation. 14 You were a cherub anointed as a guardian, and I set you on the mountain of the holiness of God; you were in the midst of the stones of fire; you walked about. 15 Perfect you were in your ways from the day you were created, until iniquity was found in you. 16 With the abundance of your trading, your midst became filled with violence, and you sinned; and I drove you in disgrace from the mountain of God, and I made you depart, O guardian cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. 17 Your heart was lifted up in your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor! Upon the ground I cast you; before the faces of kings I set you that they might gaze at you. Ezekiel 28:12-17, Berean Literal Bible. Public domain.
