1 And YHWH said to Moses and to Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, 2 “This month shall be for you⁺ the beginning of months; it shall be for you⁺ the first of the months of the year. 3 Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying, on the tenth of this month, and they shall take for themselves—each man—a lamb, according to the house of the fathers, a lamb for a house. 4 And if the house is too small for a lamb, then he and his neighbor who is near to his house shall take it by the number of souls, each man according to the mouth of his eating, you⁺ shall count for the lamb.
