29 And even now, O LORD, look and see their threatenings; and grant to your servants that they may freely preach your word, 30 Just as your hand is freely stretched out for healings, and wonders and the miracles which are done in the name of your holy Son Jesus. 31 And when they had petitioned and made their supplications, the place in which they were assembled together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and they spoke the word of God boldly. 32 Now the congregation of the believers were of one soul and of one mind; not one of them spoke of the property he possessed as his own; but everything they had was in common. 33 And the apostles testified with great power concerning the resurrection of Jesus Christ; and they were all greatly favored. 34 There was not a man among them who was destitute; for those who possessed fields and houses sold them and brought the money for the things that were sold, 35 And placed them at the disposal of the disciples; and the proceeds were then given to every man according to his needs. 36 Now Joseph whom the apostles surnamed Bar’na-bas (which is, interpreted, the son of consolation), a Levite of the country of Cy’prus, 37 Had a field and he sold it and brought the price and placed it at the disposal of the apostles.
