25 You spoke by the Holy Spirit {Hagiou Pneumatos} through the mouth of Your servant (child), our father David (beloved): ‘Why do the nations {ethnē} rage and the peoples plot in vain? 26 The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the Lord {Kyriou} and against His Anointed One (His Christ).’ 27 In fact, this is the very city where Herod (heroic) and Pontius Pilate (armed with a spear) conspired with the Gentiles {ethnesin} and the people of Israel (He wrestles with God) against Your holy servant Jesus (YHWH saves), whom You anointed. 28 They carried out what Your hand and will had decided beforehand would happen.
