24 Now a certain Jew, Apollos by name, an Alexandrian by birth, a learned man, came down to Ephesus; and he was mighty in the Scriptures.

25 The same had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and, being fervent in spirit, he was speaking and teaching accurately the things concerning Jesus, knowing only the immersion of John.

26 The same also began to speak boldly in the synagogue. But Priscilla and Aquila, having heard him, took him to themselves , and expounded to him the way of God more accurately.
