1 But certain ones having come down from Judea were teaching the brothers, “Unless you? are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you? are not able to be saved.” 2 There having been, then, no small commotion and discussion by Paul and Barnabas with them, they appointed Paul and Barnabas and certain others out of them to go up to Jerusalem, to the apostles and elders, about this question. 3 Therefore indeed, having been sent forward by the church, they were passing through both Phoenicia and Samaria, relating in detail the conversion of the Gentiles, and they were bringing great joy to all the brothers. 4 And having come to Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church and the apostles and the elders. And they declared all that God had done with them. Acts 15:1-4, Berean Literal Bible. Public domain.
