1 AFTER these things and the faithful acts which Hezekiah did, Sennacherib king of Assyria came and invaded Judah and encamped against the fortified cities, and said to their inhabitants, Give me a pledge and come to me. 2 And when Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib king of Assyria and his armies had come to fight against Jerusalem, 3 He took counsel with his princes and his mighty men to conceal the waters of the fountains which were outside the city; and they did help him. 2 Chronicles 32:1-3, Lamsa Bible.
