Ahaziah also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab (father's brother), for his mother was his counselor in wickedness.

And he did evil in the sight of the LORD {YHWH}, as the house of Ahab had done (father's brother), for to his destruction they were his counselors after the death of his father.

Ahaziah also followed their counsel and went with Joram (YHWH is exalted) son of Ahab (father's brother) king of Israel (he wrestles with God) to fight against Hazael (one who sees God) king of Aram (exalted) at Ramoth-gilead (heights) (rocky region). But the Arameans [the archerssee Syria ] wounded Joram \Jehoram/.

So he returned to Jezreel (God sows) to recover from the wounds they had inflicted on him at Ramah (Ramoth) when he fought against Hazael (one who sees God) king of Aram (exalted). Then Ahaziah [Azariah] son of Jehoram (YHWH is exalted) king of Judah (praised) went down to Jezreel to visit Joram son of Ahab (father's brother), because Joram had been wounded.

Ahaziah’s (YHWH holds) downfall came from God {Elohim} when he went to visit Joram (YHWH is exalted). When Ahaziah arrived, he went out with Joram to meet Jehu (YHWH is He) son (grandson) of Nimshi (rescued), whom the LORD {YHWH} had anointed to destroy the house of Ahab (father's brother).

So while Jehu (YHWH is He) was executing judgment on the house of Ahab (father's brother), he found the rulers of Judah (praised) and the sons of Ahaziah’s (YHWH holds) brothers who were serving Ahaziah, and he killed them.

Then Jehu looked for Ahaziah (YHWH holds), and Jehu’s soldiers captured him while he was hiding in Samaria (watch mountain). So Ahaziah was brought to Jehu (YHWH is He) and put to death. They buried him, for they said, “He is the grandson of Jehoshaphat (YHWH has judged), who sought the LORD {YHWH} with all his heart.” So no one was left from the house of Ahaziah with the strength to rule the kingdom.

When Athaliah (afflicted of YHWH) the mother of Ahaziah (YHWH holds) saw that her son was dead, she proceeded to annihilate all the royal heirs of the house of Judah (praised).

But Jehoshabeath (Jehosheba) daughter of King Jehoram took Joash (given by the Lord) son of Ahaziah (YHWH holds) and stole him away from among the sons of the king who were being murdered, and she put him and his nurse in a bedroom. Because Jehoshabeath (YHWH is an oath), the daughter of King Jehoram (YHWH is exalted) and the wife of Jehoiada (YHWH knows) the priest, was Ahaziah’s sister, she hid Joash from Athaliah (afflicted of YHWH) so that she could not kill him.

And Joash remained hidden with them in the house of God {Elohim} for six years while Athaliah (afflicted of YHWH) ruled the land.
