3 For I indeed, being absent in body but being present in spirit, have already judged the one having thus carried this out, as being present, 4 in the name our Lord Jesus, in your⁺ having been gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of the Lord Jesus, 5 to deliver up such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord. 6 Your⁺ boasting is not good. Do you⁺ not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? 7 Cleanse out the old leaven, so that you⁺ may be a new lump, as you⁺ are, unleavened. For also Christ our Passover was sacrificed, 8 so that we may keep the feast, not with old leaven, not with leaven of malice and wickedness, but with unleavened bread of sincerity and of truth. 9 I wrote to you⁺ in the letter not to associate with sexually immoral people, 10 not altogether with the sexually immoral of this world, or with the coveters and swindlers, or idolaters—since then you⁺ would need to go out from the world. 11 But now I wrote to you⁺ not to associate with anyone being named a brother if he may be sexually immoral or a coveter, or an idolater or a reviler, or a drunkard or a swindler—with such a one not even to eat. 12 For what is it to me to judge those outside? Do you⁺ not judge those inside? 13 But God judges those outside. “Expel the wicked one from among yourselves.” 1 Corinthians 5:3-13, Berean Literal Bible. Public domain.
