38 These coming in by name were leaders in their clans, and the house of their father increased greatly. 39 And they went to the entrance of Gedor, as far as the east side of the valley, to seek pasture for their flocks. 40 And they found pasture rich and good, and the land broad of sides, and quiet, and peaceful. For some Hamites had lived there formerly. 41 And these written by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and they struck their tents and the Meunites who were found there, and they devoted them to destruction to this day.
