50 These were the descendants of Caleb (dog). The sons [son] of Hur (hole) the firstborn of Ephrathah (Ephrath): Shobal (flowing) the father of Kiriath-jearim (city of forests), 51 Salma (garment) the father of Bethlehem (house of bread), and Hareph (a plucking off) the father of Beth-gader (house of the wall). 52 These were the descendants of Shobal (flowing) the father of Kiriath-jearim (city of forests): Haroeh (vision), half the Manahathites (rest), 53 and the clans of Kiriath-jearim (city of forests)—the Ithrites (a remnant), Puthites (openess), Shumathites (the exalted), and Mishraites (touching evil).
