Remind believers to willingly place themselves under the authority of government officials. Believers should obey them and be ready to help them with every good thing they do. Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good,
Believers shouldn't curse anyone or be quarrelsome, but they should be gentle and show courtesy to everyone. to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people. to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone.
Indeed, we, too, were once stupid, disobedient, and misled. We were slaves to many kinds of lusts and pleasures. We were mean and jealous. We were hated, and we hated each other. For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another.
However, when God our Savior made his kindness and love for humanity appear, But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared,
he saved us, but not because of anything we had done to gain his approval. Instead, because of his mercy he saved us through the washing in which the Holy Spirit gives us new birth and renewal. he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,
God poured a generous amount of the Spirit on us through Jesus Christ our Savior. whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior,
As a result, God in his kindness has given us his approval and we have become heirs who have the confidence that we have everlasting life. so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.
This is a statement that can be trusted. I want you to insist on these things so that those who believe in God can concentrate on setting an example by doing good things. This is good and helps other people. The saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people. This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.
Avoid foolish controversies, arguments about genealogies, quarrels, and fights about Moses' Teachings. This is useless and worthless. But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for they are unprofitable and worthless. But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless.
Have nothing to do with people who continue to teach false doctrine after you have warned them once or twice. As for a person who stirs up division, after warning him once and then twice, have nothing more to do with him, Warn a divisive person once, and then warn them a second time. After that, have nothing to do with them.
You know that people like this are corrupt. They are sinners condemned by their own actions. knowing that such a person is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned. You may be sure that such people are warped and sinful; they are self-condemned.
When I send Artemas or Tychicus to you, hurry to visit me in the city of Nicopolis. I have decided to spend the winter there. When I send Artemas or Tychicus to you, do your best to come to me at Nicopolis, for I have decided to spend the winter there. As soon as I send Artemas or Tychicus to you, do your best to come to me at Nicopolis, because I have decided to winter there.
Give Zenas the lawyer and Apollos your best support for their trip so that they will have everything they need. Do your best to speed Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their way; see that they lack nothing. Do everything you can to help Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their way and see that they have everything they need.
Our people should also learn how to set an example by doing good things when urgent needs arise so that they can live productive lives. And let our people learn to devote themselves to good works, so as to help cases of urgent need, and not be unfruitful. Our people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good, in order to provide for urgent needs and not live unproductive lives.
Everyone with me sends you greetings. Greet our faithful friends. [God's] good will be with all of you. All who are with me send greetings to you. Greet those who love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Everyone with me sends you greetings. Greet those who love us in the faith. Grace be with you all.
