| 1 | A Psalm by David, when he was in the desert of Judah. God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs for you, in a dry and weary land, where there is no water. | O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. | A psalm of David. When he was in the Desert of Judah. You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. | |
| 2 | So I have seen you in the sanctuary, watching your power and your glory. | So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. | I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. | |
| 3 | Because your loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise you. | Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. | Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. | |

| 6 | when I remember you on my bed, and think about you in the night watches. | when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night; | On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night. | |
| 7 | For you have been my help. I will rejoice in the shadow of your wings. | for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy. | Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. | |
