To the chiefe musition vpon Nehiloth, a psalme of Dauid. Geue eare vnto my wordes O God: vnderstande thou my pensifnesse. Give ear to my words, O LORD; consider my groaning. For the director of music. For pipes. A psalm of David. Listen to my words, LORD, consider my lament.
Hearken thou vnto the voyce of my crying my kyng and my Lorde: for vnto thee I wyll make my prayer. Give attention to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to you do I pray. Hear my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray.
Thou shalt heare my voyce betymes O God: I wyll early in the morning direct a prayer vnto thee, and I wyll looke for helpe from thee. O LORD, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you and watch. In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.
For thou art the Lorde that hath no pleasure in wickednesse: neither can any euyll dwell with thee. For you are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil may not dwell with you. For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness; with you, evil people are not welcome.
Suche as be foolishe, can not stande in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquitie. The boastful shall not stand before your eyes; you hate all evildoers. The arrogant cannot stand in your presence. You hate all who do wrong;
Thou wilt destroy them that make a lye: God wyll abhorre both the bloodthirstie and deceiptfull man. You destroy those who speak lies; the LORD abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man. you destroy those who tell lies. The bloodthirsty and deceitful you, LORD, detest.
As for me I wyll come into thyne house, trusting in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy feare I will humble my selfe in thyne holy temple. But I, through the abundance of your steadfast love, will enter your house. I will bow down toward your holy temple in the fear of you. But I, by your great love, can come into your house; in reverence I bow down toward your holy temple.
Leade me O God in thy righteousnesse, because of myne enemies: make thy way playne before my face. Lead me, O LORD, in your righteousness because of my enemies; make your way straight before me. Lead me, LORD, in your righteousness because of my enemies— make your way straight before me.
For no trueth is in their mouth, their inwarde partes are very wickednesse: their throte is an open sepulchre, they flatter with their tongue. For there is no truth in their mouth; their inmost self is destruction; their throat is an open grave; they flatter with their tongue. Not a word from their mouth can be trusted; their heart is filled with malice. Their throat is an open grave; with their tongues they tell lies.
Destroy thou them O Lord, let them perishe through their owne counsailes: cast them out in the multitude of their vngodlinesse, for they haue rebelled against thee. Make them bear their guilt, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; because of the abundance of their transgressions cast them out, for they have rebelled against you. Declare them guilty, O God! Let their intrigues be their downfall. Banish them for their many sins, for they have rebelled against you.
And all they that trust in thee wyll reioyce, they wyll triumph for euer, because thou defendest them: and they that loue thy name, wyll be ioyfull in thee. But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you. But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
For thou O God wylt blesse the righteous: and thou wylt compasse hym about with beneuolence, as with a shielde. For you bless the righteous, O LORD; you cover him with favor as with a shield. Surely, LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.
