1 Of David. Give justice to me, O Yahweh, for I have walked in my integrity, And I have trusted in Yahweh; I will not waver. Vindicate me, O LORD, for I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in the LORD without wavering. Of David. Vindicate me, LORD, for I have led a blameless life; I have trusted in the LORD and have not faltered.
2 Test me, O Yahweh, and try me; Refine my mind and my heart. Prove me, O LORD, and try me; test my heart and my mind. Test me, LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind;
3 For Your lovingkindness is before my eyes, And I have walked in Your truth. For your steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in your faithfulness. for I have always been mindful of your unfailing love and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness.
4 I do not sit with worthless men, And I will not go with pretenders. I do not sit with men of falsehood, nor do I consort with hypocrites. I do not sit with the deceitful, nor do I associate with hypocrites.
5 I hate the assembly of evildoers, And I will not sit with the wicked. I hate the assembly of evildoers, and I will not sit with the wicked. I abhor the assembly of evildoers and refuse to sit with the wicked.
6 I shall wash my hands in innocence, So I will go around Your altar, O Yahweh, I wash my hands in innocence and go around your altar, O LORD, I wash my hands in innocence, and go about your altar, LORD,
7 In order to proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving And to recount all Your wondrous deeds. proclaiming thanksgiving aloud, and telling all your wondrous deeds. proclaiming aloud your praise and telling of all your wonderful deeds.
8 O Yahweh, I love the habitation of Your house And the place where Your glory dwells. O LORD, I love the habitation of your house and the place where your glory dwells. LORD, I love the house where you live, the place where your glory dwells.
9 Do not take my soul away along with sinners, Nor my life with men of bloodshed, Do not sweep my soul away with sinners, nor my life with bloodthirsty men, Do not take away my soul along with sinners, my life with those who are bloodthirsty,
10 In whose hands is a wicked scheme, And whose right hand is full of bribes. in whose hands are evil devices, and whose right hands are full of bribes. in whose hands are wicked schemes, whose right hands are full of bribes.
11 But as for me, I shall walk in my integrity; Redeem me, and be gracious to me. But as for me, I shall walk in my integrity; redeem me, and be gracious to me. I lead a blameless life; deliver me and be merciful to me.
12 My foot stands on level ground; In the congregations I shall bless Yahweh. My foot stands on level ground; in the great assembly I will bless the LORD. My feet stand on level ground; in the great congregation I will praise the LORD.
