1 A PSALM OF DAVID. To YHWH [is] the earth and its fullness, || The world and the inhabitants in it. The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein, Of David. A psalm. The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;
2 For He has founded it on the seas, || And He establishes it on the floods. for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers. for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.
3 Who goes up into the hill of YHWH? And who rises up in His holy place? Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in his holy place? Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place?
4 The clean of hands, and pure of heart, || Who has not lifted up his soul to vanity, || Nor has sworn to deceit. He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.
5 He carries away a blessing from YHWH, || Righteousness from the God of his salvation. He will receive blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of his salvation. They will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God their Savior.
6 This [is] a generation of those seeking Him. Seeking Your face, O Jacob! Selah. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Selah Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob.
7 Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O perpetual doors! And the King of Glory comes in! Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
8 Who [is] this—“the King of Glory?” YHWH—strong and mighty, || YHWH, the mighty in battle. Who is this King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle! Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O perpetual doors! And the King of Glory comes in! Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
10 Who [is] He—this “King of Glory?” YHWH of hosts—He [is] the King of Glory! Selah. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory! Selah Who is he, this King of glory? The LORD Almighty— he is the King of glory.
