MY son, if you will receive my words and hide my commandments in your heart, My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you,
And incline your ear to wisdom and apply your heart to understanding, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding—
Yea, if you cry after knowledge and lift up your voice to understanding, yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding,
If you seek it as silver, and search for it as for hidden treasure; if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure,
Then you will understand how to worship the LORD and find the knowledge of God. then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.
For it is the LORD who gives wisdom; out of his mouth come knowledge and understanding. For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
He stores up hope for the upright; he helps those who walk without blemish. he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity, He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,
He keeps the paths of justice, and preserves the ways of his saints. guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints. for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.
Then you will understand righteousness and justice and the uprightness of all good ways. Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path; Then you will understand what is right and just and fair—every good path.
When wisdom enters into your heart and knowledge is pleasant to your soul. for wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul; For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
Intelligence shall preserve you, and the understanding of the pious men shall deliver you; discretion will watch over you, understanding will guard you, Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you.
That you might be delivered from evil ways, from men who speak perverse things, delivering you from the way of evil, from men of perverted speech, Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse,
Who forsake the path of uprightness to walk in the way of darkness; who forsake the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness, who have left the straight paths to walk in dark ways,
Who rejoice to do evil and delight in the perverseness of evil things; who rejoice in doing evil and delight in the perverseness of evil, who delight in doing wrong and rejoice in the perverseness of evil,
Men whose ways are crooked and whose paths are perverse. men whose paths are crooked, and who are devious in their ways. whose paths are crooked and who are devious in their ways.
Wisdom shall deliver you from a strange woman who flatters with her words, So you will be delivered from the forbidden woman, from the adulteress with her smooth words, Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words,
Who has forsaken the mother of her youth and forgotten the covenant of her God. who forsakes the companion of her youth and forgets the covenant of her God; who has left the partner of her youth and ignored the covenant she made before God.
For she has forgotten the threshold of her house and the way of her paths. for her house sinks down to death, and her paths to the departed; Surely her house leads down to death and her paths to the spirits of the dead.
None who go to her return again, neither do they remember the path of life. none who go to her come back, nor do they regain the paths of life. None who go to her return or attain the paths of life.
Therefore you must walk in the way of good men and keep the path of the righteous. So you will walk in the way of the good and keep to the paths of the righteous. Thus you will walk in the ways of the good and keep to the paths of the righteous.
For the upright shall dwell in the land, and those who are unblemished shall remain in it. For the upright will inhabit the land, and those with integrity will remain in it, For the upright will live in the land, and the blameless will remain in it;
But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth and the ungodly shall be rooted out of it. but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the treacherous will be rooted out of it. but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the unfaithful will be torn from it.
