My son, if you would accept my words, and conceal my commandments within you, My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you,
so that your ears may listen to wisdom, then bend your heart in order to know prudence. making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding—
For if you would call upon wisdom and bend your heart to prudence, yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding,
if you will seek her like money, and dig for her as if for treasure, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure,
then you will understand the fear of the Lord, and you will discover the knowledge of God. then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.
For the Lord bestows wisdom, and out of his mouth, prudence and knowledge. For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
He will preserve the salvation of the righteous, and he will protect those who walk in simplicity: he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity, He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,
serving the paths of justice, and guarding the ways of sanctity. guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints. for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.
Then you shall understand justice and judgment, and equity, and every good path. Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path; Then you will understand what is right and just and fair—every good path.
If wisdom is to enter into your heart, and if knowledge is to become pleasing to your soul, for wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul; For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
then counsel must guard you, and prudence must serve you, discretion will watch over you, understanding will guard you, Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you.
so that you may be rescued from the evil way, and from the man who speaks perversities, delivering you from the way of evil, from men of perverted speech, Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse,
from those who leave the straight path to walk in dark ways, who forsake the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness, who have left the straight paths to walk in dark ways,
who rejoice when they have done evil, and who exult in the most wicked things. who rejoice in doing evil and delight in the perverseness of evil, who delight in doing wrong and rejoice in the perverseness of evil,
Their ways are perverse, and their steps are infamous. men whose paths are crooked, and who are devious in their ways. whose paths are crooked and who are devious in their ways.
