16 You will be handed over even by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends. They will cause some of you to be put to death. You will be delivered up even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and some of you they will put to death. You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers and sisters, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death.
17 You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake. You will be hated by all for my name’s sake. Everyone will hate you because of me.
