2 דַּבְּר֛וּ אֶל־ בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר זֹ֤את הַֽחַיָּה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תֹּאכְל֔וּ מִכָּל־ הַבְּהֵמָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר עַל־ הָאָֽרֶץ׃ “Speak to the people of Israel, saying, These are the living things that you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth. “Say to the Israelites: ‘Of all the animals that live on land, these are the ones you may eat:
3 כֹּ֣ל ׀ מַפְרֶ֣סֶת פַּרְסָ֗ה וְשֹׁסַ֤עַת שֶׁ֙סַע֙ פְּרָסֹ֔ת מַעֲלַ֥ת גֵּרָ֖ה בַּבְּהֵמָ֑ה אֹתָ֖הּ תֹּאכֵֽלוּ׃ Whatever parts the hoof and is cloven-footed and chews the cud, among the animals, you may eat. You may eat any animal that has a divided hoof and that chews the cud.
