1	And the lot to the sons of Joseph went forth from Jordan of Jericho to the water of Jericho, from the sunrising to the desert it went up from Jericho into the mount of the House of God;	The allotment of the people of Joseph went from the Jordan by Jericho, east of the waters of Jericho, into the wilderness, going up from Jericho into the hill country to Bethel.	The allotment for Joseph began at the Jordan, east of the springs of Jericho, and went up from there through the desert into the hill country of Bethel.
2	And it went forth from the House of God to Luz and passed over to the bound of Archi to Ataroth;	Then going from Bethel to Luz, it passes along to Ataroth, the territory of the Archites.	It went on from Bethel (that is, Luz), crossed over to the territory of the Arkites in Ataroth,
3	And it went down to the sea to the bound of Japhleti even to the bound of the House of Horon the lower, and even to Gezer: and its goings out were the sea.	Then it goes down westward to the territory of the Japhletites, as far as the territory of Lower Beth-horon, then to Gezer, and it ends at the sea.	descended westward to the territory of the Japhletites as far as the region of Lower Beth Horon and on to Gezer, ending at the Mediterranean Sea.
4	And the sons of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, will inherit.	The people of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, received their inheritance.	So Manasseh and Ephraim, the descendants of Joseph, received their inheritance.
5	And the bound of the sons of Ephraim will be according to their families; and the bound of their inheritance will be from the sunrisings, Ataroth Addar, even to the House of Horon above.	The territory of the people of Ephraim by their clans was as follows: the boundary of their inheritance on the east was Ataroth-addar as far as Upper Beth-horon,	This was the territory of Ephraim, according to its clans: The boundary of their inheritance went from Ataroth Addar in the east to Upper Beth Horon
6	And the bound went forth to the sea to Michmethah from the north; and the bound encompassed from the sunrisings to Taanath-Shiloh, and passed over it from the sunrisings to Janohah;	and the boundary goes from there to the sea. On the north is Michmethath. Then on the east the boundary turns around toward Taanath-shiloh and passes along beyond it on the east to Janoah,	and continued to the Mediterranean Sea. From Mikmethath on the north it curved eastward to Taanath Shiloh, passing by it to Janoah on the east.
7	And it went down from Janohah to Ataroth and to Naarath, and struck upon Jericho, and went out at Jordan.	then it goes down from Janoah to Ataroth and to Naarah, and touches Jericho, ending at the Jordan.	Then it went down from Janoah to Ataroth and Naarah, touched Jericho and came out at the Jordan.
8	The bound went from Tuppuah to to the sea to the torrent Kanah; and the goings out were the sea. This the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim according to their families.	From Tappuah the boundary goes westward to the brook Kanah and ends at the sea. Such is the inheritance of the tribe of the people of Ephraim by their clans,	From Tappuah the border went west to the Kanah Ravine and ended at the Mediterranean Sea. This was the inheritance of the tribe of the Ephraimites, according to its clans.
9	And the cities were separated to the sons of Ephraim in the midst of the inheritance of the sons of Manasseh, all the cities and their enclosures.	together with the towns that were set apart for the people of Ephraim within the inheritance of the Manassites, all those towns with their villages.	It also included all the towns and their villages that were set aside for the Ephraimites within the inheritance of the Manassites.
10	And they drove not out the Canaanite dwelling in Gezer: and the Canaanite dwelt in the midst of Ephraim even to this day, and he will be serving for tribute.	However, they did not drive out the Canaanites who lived in Gezer, so the Canaanites have lived in the midst of Ephraim to this day but have been made to do forced labor.	They did not dislodge the Canaanites living in Gezer; to this day the Canaanites live among the people of Ephraim but are required to do forced labor.
