| 7 | The disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, |It's the Lord.| When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put back on the clothes that he had taken off and jumped into the sea. | That disciple whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea. | Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, “It is the Lord,” he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into the water. | |
| 8 | The other disciples came with the boat and dragged the net full of fish. They weren't far from the shore, only about 100 yards. | The other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from the land, but about a hundred yards off. | The other disciples followed in the boat, towing the net full of fish, for they were not far from shore, about a hundred yards. | |
