1 Now before the feast of the passover, Jesus, knowing that his hour had come that he should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, loved them to the end. Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
2 And during supper, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas [son] of Simon, Iscariote, that he should deliver him up, During supper, when the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him, The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus.
