1 Then he brought me out into the outer court, the way toward the north. Then he brought me into the room that was opposite the separate place, and which was opposite the building toward the north. Then he led me out into the outer court, toward the north, and he brought me to the chambers that were opposite the separate yard and opposite the building on the north. Then the man led me northward into the outer court and brought me to the rooms opposite the temple courtyard and opposite the outer wall on the north side.
2 Facing the length of one hundred cubits was the north door, and the width was fifty cubits. The length of the building whose door faced north was a hundred cubits, and the breadth fifty cubits. The building whose door faced north was a hundred cubits long and fifty cubits wide.
3 Opposite the twenty cubits which belonged to the inner court, and opposite the pavement which belonged to the outer court, was gallery against gallery in the three stories. Facing the twenty cubits that belonged to the inner court, and facing the pavement that belonged to the outer court, was gallery against gallery in three stories. Both in the section twenty cubits from the inner court and in the section opposite the pavement of the outer court, gallery faced gallery at the three levels.
4 Before the rooms was a walk of ten cubits’ width inward, a way of one cubit; and their doors were toward the north. And before the chambers was a passage inward, ten cubits wide and a hundred cubits long, and their doors were on the north. In front of the rooms was an inner passageway ten cubits wide and a hundred cubits long. Their doors were on the north.
5 Now the upper rooms were shorter; for the galleries took away from these more than from the lower and the middle in the building. Now the upper chambers were narrower, for the galleries took more away from them than from the lower and middle chambers of the building. Now the upper rooms were narrower, for the galleries took more space from them than from the rooms on the lower and middle floors of the building.
6 For they were in three stories, and they didn’t have pillars as the pillars of the courts. Therefore the uppermost was set back more than the lowest and the middle from the ground. The rooms on the top floor had no pillars, as the courts had; so they were smaller in floor space than those on the lower and middle floors.

And there was a wall outside parallel to the chambers, toward the outer court, opposite the chambers, fifty cubits long. There was an outer wall parallel to the rooms and the outer court; it extended in front of the rooms for fifty cubits.
8 For the length of the rooms that were in the outer court was fifty cubits. Behold, those facing the temple were one hundred cubits. For the chambers on the outer court were fifty cubits long, while those opposite the nave were a hundred cubits long. While the row of rooms on the side next to the outer court was fifty cubits long, the row on the side nearest the sanctuary was a hundred cubits long.
9 From under these rooms was the entry on the east side, as one goes into them from the outer court. Below these chambers was an entrance on the east side, as one enters them from the outer court. The lower rooms had an entrance on the east side as one enters them from the outer court.
10 In the thickness of the wall of the court toward the east, before the separate place, and before the building, there were rooms. In the thickness of the wall of the court, on the south also, opposite the yard and opposite the building, there were chambers On the south side along the length of the wall of the outer court, adjoining the temple courtyard and opposite the outer wall, were rooms
11 The way before them was like the appearance of the rooms which were toward the north. Their length and width were the same. All their exits had the same arrangement and doors. with a passage in front of them. They were similar to the chambers on the north, of the same length and breadth, with the same exits and arrangements and doors, with a passageway in front of them. 12 Like the doors of the rooms that were toward the south was a door at the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward the east, as one enters into them. as were the entrances of the chambers on the south. There was an entrance at the beginning of the passage, the passage before the corresponding wall on the east as one enters them. were the doorways of the rooms on the south. There was a doorway at the beginning of the passageway that was parallel to the corresponding wall extending eastward, by which one enters the rooms.
13 Then he said to me, “The north rooms and the south rooms, which are opposite the separate place, are the holy rooms, where the priests who are near to Yahweh shall eat the most holy things. There they shall lay the most holy things, with the meal offering, the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy. Then he said to me, “The north chambers and the south chambers opposite the yard are the holy chambers, where the priests who approach the LORD shall eat the most holy offerings. There they shall put the most holy offerings—the grain offering, the sin offering, and the guilt offering—for the place is holy. Then he said to me, “The north and south rooms facing the temple courtyard are the priests’ rooms, where the priests who approach the LORD will eat the most holy offerings. There they will put the most holy offerings—the grain offerings, the sin offerings and the guilt offerings—for the place is holy.
14 When the priests enter in, then they shall not go out of the holy place into the outer court until they lay their garments in which they minister there; for they are holy. Then they shall put on other garments, and shall approach that which is for the people.” When the priests enter the Holy Place, they shall not go out of it into the outer court without laying there the garments in which they minister, for these are holy. They shall put on other garments before they go near to that which is for the people.” Once the priests enter the holy precincts, they are not to go into the outer court until they leave behind the garments in which they minister, for these are holy. They are to put on other clothes before they go near the places that are for the people.”
15 Now when he had finished measuring the inner house, he brought me out by the way of the gate which faces toward the east, and measured it all around. Now when he had finished measuring the interior of the temple area, he led me out by the gate that faced east, and measured the temple area all around. When he had finished measuring what was inside the temple area, he led me out by the east gate and measured the area all around:
16 He measured on the east side with the measuring reed five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed all around. He measured the east side with the measuring reed, 500 cubits by the measuring reed all around. He measured the east side with the measuring rod; it was five hundred cubits.
17 He measured on the north side five hundred reeds with the measuring reed all around. He measured the north side, 500 cubits by the measuring reed all around. He measured the north side; it was five hundred cubits by the measuring rod.
18 He measured on the south side five hundred reeds with the measuring reed. He measured the south side, 500 cubits by the measuring reed. He measured the south side; it was five hundred cubits by the measuring rod.
19 He turned about to the west side, and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed. Then he turned to the west side and measured, 500 cubits by the measuring reed. Then he turned to the west side and measured; it was five hundred cubits by the measuring rod.
20 He measured it on the four sides. It had a wall around it, the length five hundred cubits, and the width five hundred cubits, to make a separation between that which was holy and that which was common.
